- How would you describe yourself?
- Easy going, like fun in life, loyal . outgoing. Like both emotional and physical intimacy. I enjoy the company of family and close friends. I was born, reared and now live in the green countryside of Cork so I like being in nature, like to walk through the laneways among the trees, birds and wild animals and to listen to birds nesting and sihging in the hedgerows. Cork is a beautiful part of Ireland which is a small island country off the western coastline of Europe...the last stop before America. The next parish is Boston! I have a lively interests in sports, shopping, travelling when I can, motor cars. I also am puzzled about life in general, how and what is our destiny on this planet Earth. And how to contribute in my own small way to improving it and the people who are less fortunate than me. The photos in the "12Km walk album" show you a flavour of local life, as I experience it, during my leisure hours.
- How would you describe your ideal partner?
- Lively spirited, loyal and sporty. Who loves life, who is intelligent and who enjoys both emotional and physical intimacy.
- If you knew the world was going to end in 30 days, what would you do?
- Visit and spend it with friends and family..I would also be very busy with making all my dreams come true before the big event....!
- If you had 10 million dollars to spare, what would you do with it?
- I would be very busy with making all my dreams come true before the big event....!I suppose treat my children to a good holiday and perhaps buy a house and a car for each of them. Invest a million for each of them for their future needs. The rest I would like to spend among the less fortunate in our world..in particular on disadvantaged children e.g the children suffering in orphanages and living on the streets. Every child deserves and needs a good start in life.

- !!Honesty straight talking, intelligence humour and sensuality!

- Compassion, strength of character, generosity, spirited and emotionally mature..being able to give and to receive. Humour!!!!
- What is a recent prominent event in your life, and how has it affected you?
- A recent visit to the doctor showed that I have high blood pressure but that it is ok now and under control !! Also the sudden death of a very close and life long friend.
- What is the best advice that you give to your children?
- Think for yourselves. Put happiness above money as your main target in life. Treat other people in the same way that you would like to be treated!
- What has produced the biggest impression (shock) on you?
- Human kindness impresses me most....and the cruelty that mankind can do to each other is the most shocking

- To meet and get to know and love a lady who will share and enrich our lives together.
- Whom do you admire?
- Mandela, Obama, Any one who advances human rights of less fortunate people . Many of these are unsung and are not often rewarded or recognised.
- Do you have a lot of friends?
- Just a few close friends who I can turn to in times of distress as well as having fun!!! Living in the countryside as I do, I also have many acquaintances as we get to know each other as neighbours, meeting in the local shops, schools and rural communitiy events, and a few at work , and golfing also.
- What qualities do you dislike most in those of your gender?
- Pomp and ceremony. Deviousness and cruelty.Putting themselves before others.Greed.
- What qualities do you dislike most in the people of the opposite sex?
- Bitchiness, self-centered and vanity.
- What would you like to change in yourself?
- I am what I am in life now. Perhaps be more humble and be more thankful for being healthy , fit and that the children are also healthy and enjoying and getting on well in life!
- What are your weaknesses?
- It depends really. Maybe too much of an organiser, tendency to be concerned and worry about the state of the world..poverty..wars etc. I should do more to help the poor and suffering peoples. I have many talents but maybe I could be more energetic in these areas. Maybe I need a spur from the lady that I hope to find here!!!

- Easy going, chatty and loyal. serious at times, reliable.

- Quiet, well spoken and sensible......I Think.....God only really knows what they think of me....!!!!

- Soccer, I play golf, I like to watch hurling..an native Irish game from which hockey evolved from more than 100 years ago when people from Ireland emigrated to Canada and began playing it first on ice and then on grass.
- Who are your favourite writers and poets?
- I read a lot when I was younger...all sorts...and many different authors....I read books on spirituality, books on personal development, and achieving peace and harmony with myself, my loved ones and with the world at large
- What kinds of music do you like?
- Any good sound: rock, classical, pop, celtic., Riverdance. We still have a tradition of musicians playing live music in some pubs here in Ireland and these are often very good fun. We call them "a session" and good "craic" (fun)!!

- Is life itself not a fairytale? A nightmare sometimes too I guess!

- Playing Golf, watching TV documentaries about nature and discovery, watching soccer on tv and rugby, gardening. DIY, I really like cars but don't often indulge myself due to the expense. I now drive a Honda Jazz ! Update...I recently bought a nice blue Beemer (BMW!), and gave the Honda to my eldest daughter who graduated with a degree in Law in August. Going for the 'green' agenda..climate change and all of that...but not obsessive!!
- What is your dream job?
- about retiring as soon as I can and do work that will help the less fortunate in our world...that is in a few year's time when my children have graduated from university...and when I then no longer have the huge expensive fees etc to pay! Then I would like to buy a house in southern France or Spain not far from the coast. I like to watch the sun setting with a loving partner, maybe you, over the ocean. Perhaps also live in eastern Europe for a few months during the spring and autumn. And summer too as long as it stays below 30 Deg C !! But Ireland will always remain my home!
- Tell us about your dream partner.
- Good looking intelligent, smart, good dresser, humourous and good natured. Kind hearted and interested in living life! Someone who is not afraid to be united together in mind, emotion and and body..!! To share the ups and downs of life and for each of us to be there in support of each other and to enjoy each other and life together. Perhaps it would be good if she spoke some english. I cannot speak a word of the Russian language. And it is important to be able to communicate.....but than again, I suppose we could both learn each other's language. It doesn't always need to be spoken!!
- Where do you want to live?
- Close to town or city but with garden., near the coast e.g The Med or Atlantic ocean. I appreciate the power and majesty of the sea! And both the stimulating and calming effect the sea has on emotions! Much like a real woman has on a man..!!!!
